Troy Shortis

Troy Shortis

Troy is one of the Company Directors of SVS and has been with the business for his entire career with around 20 years experience. He has a Bachelor of Business and is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants. Troy’s main roll is providing accounting services to our clients relating to personal & business Tax Returns and also as our Self Managed Super Fund Auditor. He is also very experienced is business management reporting, new business start up, tax planning & cashflow budgets.

Julie is one of the Company Directors of SVS and is our expert in Accounting and Management of Self Managed Super Funds. She has a Bachelor of Business and is a member of CPA Australia, with her 20 years of experience she is responsible for managing a variety of Self Managed Super Funds.



Fay Zhu

Fay Zhu

Fay is BBus ASA qualified and a CPA Australia member. Her knowledge of the WET Tax is a huge advantage to our clients in the Yarra Valley, a number of who are involved in wineries. She has valuable experience and understanding of the latest computerized processing and cloud based technology enabling a more efficient system for our clients. With many years experience and her training she is very skilled in all individual & business tax returns, along with tax planning, new business start ups, cashflow budgets & business management reporting.

Duncan Dong

Duncan Dong

Duncan has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is a member of CPA Australia. With 10 years of experience in individual and business tax return preparation, he is experienced in business management reporting and tax planning

Scott is an experienced accounting professional with strong expertise across all aspects of accounting, statutory reporting, and financial reporting and analysis. With well over a decade of industry experience, he brings a strategic and detail-oriented approach to helping clients meet their financial and compliance obligations while supporting informed business decision-making. He is highly proficient in a wide range of accounting and business systems and is recognised for his strong analytical skills and his ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights that support better business outcomes. A key strength of Scott’s work is identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, he has successfully streamlined processes, enhanced existing systems, developed new workflows that improve productivity and reporting accuracy within accounting practices & business environments. With a strong technical foundation and a focus on strategic improvement for growth, Scott is committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and high-quality accounting services to all clients, big and small alike.

Kate O'Brien

Kate O'Brien (Palmer)

Kate supports our Centrelink clients by acting as a trusted point of contact and advocate. She manages inquiries, monitors entitlements, and ensures all Centrelink and Veterans Affairs payments and correspondence are handled with care and accuracy to meet each client’s individual needs. In addition, Kate oversees our share trading and portfolio management services, providing comprehensive support across multiple client financial needs.

Jessica Somers

Jessica Somers

Jess wears multiple hats within the company, contributing across several key areas, Customer Service Office, Office Manager & Corporate Affairs Manager. As Corporate Affairs Manager, she oversees all corporate governance matters, including annual reviews, company changes, and compliance requirements. She also provides vital administrative support to our contractors and manages accounts receivable, all while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office and delivering excellent customer service.
